Srinagar Fire: 4 Firefighters Injured As Massive Fire Ravages Srinagar's Bulbul Bagh Area

India Today Correspondent Mir Farid reports that the blaze, which originated in a junkyard, quickly spread to nearby carpet godowns and paint warehouses. Mir Farid stated, 'Four brave firemen who took the fire head on have been injured in this, two due to suffocation, two due to fire injuries, and they have been hospitalized.' The firefighting operation lasted between eight to ten hours, requiring specialized equipment like foam to contain the highly inflammable paint materials. While the fire was brought under control before reaching residential neighborhoods, several structures were completely destroyed. Preliminary investigations suggest a bonfire lit by workers in the cold weather may have triggered the inferno. The injured firefighters are currently reported to be in stable condition as authorities conduct a formal damage assessment in the congested locality.
