Massive forex seized with a man at Chennai airport

The Directorate Revenue Intelligence today seized massive foreign currency at Chennai Airport today. The currency, equivalent to INR 77 lakh was being taken to Singapore by a man named Yusuf Hamid.

The accused was travelling from Kolkata to Singapore. The DRI had previous information and was waiting to nab him before he could flee.

The forex included US dollars, Australian dollars.
