Massive Fire Engulfs Seven-Storey Textile Market in Surat; Blaze Controlled After Hours

A massive fire broke out at a seven-storey textile market in the Parvat Patiya area of Surat, Gujarat. The blaze, which erupted around 7:15 am, reportedly started on the eighth floor due to a suspected short circuit. Visuals showed plumes of black smoke billowing from the structure as 22 fire tenders rushed to the spot. According to the report, the fire brigade managed to bring the situation under control after more than three and a half hours, around 11 am. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident. The assessment of property damage is currently underway.
