Mansukh Mandaviya is new Union health minister

Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has been appointed Union Minister for Health and Chemical and Fertilisers.

The Health Ministry and the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers will now be handled by the same minister. This is being done because pharmaceuticals and other drugs are essential in the health domain and it made eminent sense to have the same minister handle both the portfolios, said government sources.
