Manipur Police fires tear gas shells to disperse protesters surrounding Rahul Gandhi's convoy in Bishnupur

Manipur Police fired tear gas shells to disperse the protesters who had gathered near Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's convoy in Bishnupur. 

Rahul Gandhi's convoy was stopped in Bishnupur, which is about 20 km from Imphal. He was headed to Churachandpur, which has witnessed some of the worst cases of ethnic violence that has rocked the state for several weeks now.

Rahul Gandhi is in strife-torn Manipur on a two-day visit to meet people who were displaced by the ethnic clashes.
