Watch: 5-km-long traffic jam seen from Manali to Atal Tunnel ahead of Christmas

Ahead of the Christmas and New Year celebrations, the tourist footfall to Kullu and Manali has increased, leading to massive traffic congestion. On Saturday, areas near the Atal Tunnel received fresh snowfall following which the local police stopped vehicular movement as a precautionary measure. It led to a five-kilometre-long traffic jam from  Manali to Atal tunnel. Traffic snarls are usually reported in the region every year during this time, which creates problems for tourists and locals alike.
