Man beaten to death over 'sacrilege' attempt at Golden Temple

A man was beaten to death after he allegedly attempted to commit “sacrilege” inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Golden Temple in Amritsar on Saturday evening.

According to the police, the man was seen jumping over a railing inside the Golden Temple during the Rehraas Sahib Paath (evening prayers). He then allegedly tried to catch the sword which was kept in front of the Guru Granth Sahib.
