The political standoff in West Bengal has intensified following Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids on premises linked to IPAC, the political consultancy managing the Trinamool Congress's election campaign. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee led a protest march, accusing the ED of acting with political motives on behalf of Home Minister Amit Shah. She alleged that TMC's poll-related documents were seized during the searches. In response, the BJP has accused Mamata Banerjee of obstructing a central investigation, with the Leader of the Opposition, Suvendu Adhikari, labelling the situation as 'Mahajangal Raj'. Adhikari has also sent a legal notice to Banerjee, demanding proof for her allegations linking him to the coal smuggling scam and threatening a defamation suit if she fails to comply within 72 hours.
