Maharashtra Congress passes proposal to expel Sanjay Nirupam from party

Maharashtra Congress has passed a proposal to remove Sanjay Nirupam from its star campaigners list and expel him from the party. The final decision on Sanjay Nirupam's party membership will be taken by the Congress high command. 

Sanjay Nirupam has been openly criticising the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena since it announced its candidates for Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra.
