Maaro chhokra doobi gayo: In Gujarat bridge tragedy, mother's cry for missing son

A woman was seen crying for help to find her missing son who drowned in the Mahisagar river after a portion of the Gambhira Bridge connecting Vadodara and Anand collapsed on Wednesday morning.

The woman was heard screaming at the accident site, "Maaro chokra doobi gayo (My child is drowning in the water)."  At least nine people have died, and nine others have been rescued so far after five vehicles fell into the river. Five vehicles fell into the river after the bridge collapsed, Vadodara Collector Anil Dhameliya said.
