Unilateral change along LAC unacceptable: EAM Jaishankar to Chines counterpart during SCO meet

While emphasising the need to complete disengagement and resolving remaining issues in eastern Ladakh, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar told his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on Wednesday that any unilateral change in status quo along the LAC is "not acceptable" to India.

Both the sides held an hour-long meeting on the sidelines of a conclave of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in Tajakistan's Dushanbe.

Both the ministers agreed for the next round of military dialogue to be convened at the earliest and its focus to be on discussing all the remaining issues to find a mutually acceptable solution, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in an official statement.
