In an exclusive interview with India Today, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju blamed the opposition for no debate on air pollution in the just concluded Winter session of Parliament.
On no debate on air pollution, he said, "Yes, I'm very upset with the opposition parties. They said that they want to have a discussion on pollution, and the government immediately agreed. And it was listed in the name of Priyanka Vadra Gandhi. And she was to be the lead speaker. They themselves curtailed her chance to speak."
He defended the administration's legislative agenda against opposition claims of bulldozing bills, citing the passing of reforms related to rural employment and nuclear liability.Â
