Kerala Floods: Condition worsens in Aluva

Rain continued to batter Kerala which finds itself caught in massive, unprecedented floods. Flooding threw life off-track as trains were cancelled, roads washed away and even airport operations had to be halted. The death toll has risen to 67. Houses in Aluva are submerged till the first floor. People are stranded without supplies and condition deteriorated overnight due to overflowing Periyar and continuous rains.
