Bengaluru: Woman dies waiting for coronavirus test reports, brother alleges hospital apathy

A Bengaluru man has alleged that his sister died waiting for the results of her coronavirus test as no hospital admitted her without it. Raghu, a resident of Kamakshipalya narrated his ordeal in a video. "My elder sister died after five days of searching for a hospital bed as none of the hospitals admitted her without a Covid test report. It takes at least three days for the reports to come from the lab. What should we do with a critical patient till then? All the hospitals regardless of the influence you have are of no use," he says in the video. However, in a notification dated June 27, the Karnataka State Government has ordered that no private hospital can not refuse treatment to patients with Covid-19 and Covid-19-like symptoms.
