Kanpur encounter: Vikas Dubey's accomplice arrested, house demolished

Police have arrested an accomplice of Vikas Dubey, the infamous history-sheeter in Uttar Pradesh, whose attempted arrest led to the death of 8 police personnel in Kanpur. Daya Shankar Agnihotri was arrested after he sustained a bullet injury in an encounter.

On Saturday morning, the Kanpur administration demolished Vikas Dubey's home in Bithoor. The demolition was carried out in the presence of a large police contingent. At the time, most homes in the area were locked and only a few could be spotted around what was the gangster's residence until yesterday.
