Kannada actor, wife detained for alleged role in murder of a man in Bengaluru

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was on Tuesday detained for his alleged role in the murder of a man, as per a police report. Darshan's wife, Pavithra Gowda, and 10 others were also taken into police custody for their alleged role in the case.

The 47-year-old actor was picked up from his farmhouse in Mysuru over alleged involvement in the case. He was brought back to Bengaluru for questioning following his detention. 

As per a police report, 33-year-old Renuka Swamy, who worked at an Apollo Pharmacy branch in Chitradurga, was found dead at Sumanahalli Bridge in Bengaluru.
