Justice Sikri turns down govt offer to take up Commonwealth post

Justice AK Sikri withdrew his consent after news broke of the government nominating him for a seat on London's Commonwealth Secretariat Arbitration Tribunal (CSAT), which is considered a prestigious posting.

The news of Justice AK Sikri being given a plum posting broke days after he along with PM Narendra Modi voted to remove Alok Verma as the chief of the Central Bureau of Investigation.
