JNU showdown: Police stop students from marching towards Parliament

The Jawaharlal Nehru Students' Union (JNUSU) are taking out a march from the university campus to protest against the hostel fee hike. They are heading towards Parliament to appeal to MPs to take up the cause.

Around 1,200 personnel have been deployed around the JNU campus, sources have said.

Section 144 was imposed near the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus on Monday. A massive face-off took place between the Delhi Police and protesting JNU students after the march headed towards the Parliament was stopped at Ber Sarai road.
