J&K DGP rules out terror angle in Nowgam Police Station blast

Jammu and Kashmir Police have confirmed that the powerful explosion at Nowgam Police Station, which killed nine people and injured 32, was not linked to any terror activity. DGP Nalin Prabhat stated that the blast occurred accidentally while officers were cautiously handling a large quantity of explosive materials and chemicals recovered earlier from Faridabad. Despite strict precautions, the sensitive material detonated late Friday night. He dismissed all alternative speculations, emphasising that police and security forces are treating the incident with full seriousness.
