In a shocking case of medical negligence in Jharkhand, where five children with Thalassemia tested positive for HIV after receiving blood transfusions at the Chaibasa Sadar Hospital. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has suspended the civil surgeon and other officials. A high-level probe is now underway to investigate the serious lapses uncovered at the hospital's blood bank, including inadequate testing and improper storage of blood units. The Jharkhand High Court has also taken suo motu cognizance of the case, demanding accountability.
