J & K: Four terrorists killed in Shopian; encounter caught on camera

Four terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district. The encounter broke out on Monday morning when the terrorists fired upon the security forces during a search operation in Manihal area of Shopian district.

DG Dilbagh Singh JK Police told India Today that 'based on a specific input an operation was launched by Shopian police and local Army at Manihal village of Shopian district and late last evening an encounter started'.

According to Kashmir Zone Police, all the four terrorists are affiliated to proscribed terror outfit Lashkar e-Taiba.

The security forces asked the militants to surrender but they refused the offer, the official said. In the exchange of fire four ultras were killed, the official said adding further details were awaited, PTI reported.
