Jammu and Kashmir: Police officer shot by terrorists in Srinagar's Nowgam

Apolice inspector, identified as Parvaiz Ahmad Dar, was shot at by two unidentified terrorists around 8 pm on Tuesday. He, however, succumbed to his injuries later at a local hospital. Dar was shot at while he was going to offer prayers in Srinagar's Menganwaji Nowgam area.

IGP Kashmir, DIG CKR and SSP Srinagar arrived at the spot and inspected the scene of crime.

Preliminary investigation and CCTV footage revealed that the terrorists used pistols to fire at Parvaiz. Grievously wounded, Dar was shifted to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and attained martyrdom.
