Farooq Abdullah links J&K's Kishtwar cloudburst to global warming

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah spoke on the disaster, noting the difficulties for rescue teams in the remote, mountainous area. He attributed the increasing frequency of such events to climate change, saying, "Global warming has wreaked havoc in the mountainous areas because of which there are repeated such disasters." Rescue operations involving the SDRF, NDRF, police, and army are underway as authorities respond to the natural disaster affecting the pilgrimage route.
