Jamia row | Cops vs Students: Who attacked who?

Protesters torched vehicles as a demonstration against the Citizenship Amendment Act and police action at Jamia Millia Islamia University turned violent on Monday, prompting police to fire in the air.

On Sunday evening, a team of Delhi Police personnel dressed in riot gear barged into the Jamia Milia University and pulled out students from the hostels and library and allegedly abused and students, including some women.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police said the force used "maximum restraint, minimum force" despite being "provoked" by protesters and did not carry any firearms.
