IT Parl panel chief Tharoor to seek explanation from Twitter over blocking of Ravi Shankar Prasad's account

Hours after Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that Twitter blocked his account, Shashi Tharoor, who is the chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology, said that he would be seeking an explanation from Twitter India.

Tharoor tweeted, "As Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology, I can state that we will be seeking an explanation from @TwitterIndiafor the locking of @rsprasad's & my accounts & the rules & procedures they follow while operating in India."
