On day seven of the aviation crisis, Indigo Airlines faces continued disruption with over 500 flight cancellations reported on Monday alone. The Civil Aviation Ministry confirms that refunds worth Rs 827 crore have been processed. Amidst the chaos, an open letter purportedly written by a long-time Indigo employee has surfaced, blaming the airline's top management for the collapse. The letter explicitly names CEO Peter Elbers, accusing him of 'holidaying' during the crisis, and targets other senior officials including Isidro Porqueras and Jason Herter for alleged mismanagement and employee exploitation. The letter states, 'Indigo did not collapse in a day. This downfall was years in the making.' The programme reports that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has given the airline 24 hours to explain the operational failure.
