India's resilience amidst global turmoil: Truth vs reality | Conclave 2024

Former chief economic adviser Arvind Subramanian and Shamika Ravi, member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister,  today spoke at the 21st edition of the India Today Conclave 2024 in New Delhi.

"I can't understand the latest GDP numbers, they are mystifying, and don't add up. For example, the implied inflation numbers given by the government are between 1-1.5%, but the actual inflation is around 3-5%." Arvind Subramanian said during his session at the India Today Conclave.

Meanwhile, Shamika Ravi said, "The biggest growth since 2015 in the smallest and least developed parts of the country. There has been an 18 per cent increase in built-up area since 2015."
