Indian Ocean region a huge opportunity, but also a challenge, says Ram Madhav

BJP leader Ram Madhav said that the Indian Ocean region is a huge opportunity for everyone, but it is also a big challenge due to a big power tussle there. He was speaking at the India Today Conclave (South) 2021 in Chennai on Saturday

"Even countries like Taiwan, Japan, Australia in fact, all of us depend on the Indian Ocean. For example, India's 70 per cent of total imports happen through this region. It is a huge opportunity for all of us but also a big challenge as it is prone to a big power tussle there," he said.
