India Today Group sweeps ITA Awards, wins 9 Awards

The India Today Group bagged top honours at the 25th ITA Awards, winning nine prestigious awards, including the Popular Channel of the Year Award for both India Today and Aaj Tak, at a glittering ceremony in Mumbai.

India Today's Gaurav Sawant won an award for his Operation Sindoor coverage, while Akshita Nandgopal bagged an award for her coverage of the Wayanad landslide.

Speaking at the award ceremony, India Today Group Vice-Chairperson and Executive Editor-in-Chief Kalli Purie said, "Aaj Tak was a half-an-hour bulletin on Doordarshan, and now it's a 24 by 7 news channel on 14 platforms. It's amazing. You have seen this journey. In the beginning of this month, we had the big Putin interview in Russia, which kind of broke global standards for us. And that's what keeps us going."
