India logged 2,527 new Covid-19 cases, and 33 fatalities in the last 24 hours, according to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry.This marked the fourth straight day where the country recorded more than 2,000 coronavirus infections. Covid cases are also increasing in the national capital, which made wearing masks mandatory in public places on Friday. Moreover, neighbouring Uttar Pradesh and Haryana have also made masks compulsory in districts falling under NCR. However, while the cases are rising, hospitalisations have not increased.
