India successfully tests K-4 nuclear missile from INS Arighat

India has successfully tested the K-4 submarine-launched ballistic missile, capable of striking targets up to 3,500 kilometers away, from the nuclear-powered submarine INS Arighat in the Bay of Bengal on Thursday. This test followed a previous launch conducted last year, marking a significant step towards full operational readiness. The missile, developed by the DRDO, enhances India's nuclear deterrent capabilities and demonstrates the steady pace of the nation's missile programme. The Strategic Forces Command oversaw the operation, though an official statement from the Defence Ministry is still awaited.
