I want to assure people that new era of development will start now: BS Yeddyurappa

Calling it a victory of democracy soon after the Congress-Janata Dal Secular coalition collapsed, Karnataka BJP chief BS Yeddyurappa on Tuesday said, "The people of Karnataka were fed up with Kumaraswamy government. I want to assure the people that a new era of development will start now."

His comments came after the Congress-Janata Dal Secular alliance collapsed on Tuesday soon after Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy lost the trust vote in the Assembly as the coalition managed to garner 99 votes, while the BJP bagged 105 votes.

With this development, the BJP, on Twitter, claimed to form the next government in the state.
