IAF trainee jet crashes near Hyderabad, pilot escapes unhurt

In a freak accident an Indian Air Force trainee aircraft crashed in Keesara under Cyberabad Police commissionerate of Hyderabad on Thursday.

The plane, a Kiran craft, was on a routine training flight and no casualties or injuries have been reported in the crash.

The plane took off from Air Force Station Hakimpet, Hyderabad and crashed near Ankireddypally at around 11:45 AM. The pilot ejected safely and received no injuries is safe.

"A Court of Inquiry will ascertain cause of accident," said an Indian Airforce officer while speaking to India Today.
