Hope this is appealed in Supreme Court: Mahua Moitra on Chhattisgarh HC acquitting man accused of marital rape

After Chhattisgarh High Court acquitted a man accused of marital rape, Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra said that hope the verdict is appealed in the Supreme Court.

Mahua Moitra tweeted, "Hope this is appealed in Supreme Court."

The Chhattisgarh High Court today acquitted a man of marital rape by ruling that sexual intercourse between legally wedded man and woman is not rape even if it is by force or against the wishes of the wife.
