Hope Operation Sindoor deters Pakistan: Omar Abdullah

In an exclusive interview with India Today, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah talked about the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor.

When asked if Operation Sindoor deter the Pakistani army and the jihadi factory, Omar Abdullah said, "I can only hope. I can only hope that it deters them. I can only pray that it deters them."

He also called for Pakistan to let Kashmiris live peacefully. He highlighted the spontaneous protests against the Pahalgam attack and urged to focus on the majority who want peace. Abdullah discussed recent cross-border shelling, Operation Sindoor, and the need to trust Kashmiris. He emphasised the importance of an incident-free Amarnath Yatra to restore tourist confidence.
