Himanta Biswa Sarma says Gaurav Gogoi has strong links with Pakistan

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma alleged that Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi has a strong link with Pakistan and he would present December last week or January first week. 

Speaking at Agenda AajTak 2025, Chief Minister Sarma made several allegations against political rivals and the government of Bangladesh. Sarma accused Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi, and suggested Rahul Gandhi's behaviour was 'psychotic.' He claimed the new Bangladesh government under Muhammad Yunus has 'sinister designs' on India's North-East, alleging Yunus presented a map showing the region as part of Bangladesh. Regarding the death of singer Zubeen Garg in Singapore, Sarma called it a 'plain and simple murder' and confirmed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) will file a chargesheet under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). He also discussed Assam's changing demography, the 'Miya Muslim' vote bank, and described the National Register of Citizens (NRC) as an exercise to purify voter lists.
