UP Police beat us, confiscated our mobile phones: Hathras victim's cousin

A cousin of the 19-year-old victim in Hathras case accused the Uttar Police threatening and beating the family members and confiscating their mobile phones. "They have also taken away our mobile phones," he told India Today TV.

On Thursday, Hathras District Magistrate Praveen Laxkar was caught on camera threatening the victim's family member and pressuring them to change their statement. In the video, DM Praveen Laxkar can be seen telling the girl's father, "Half of the media people have left today, the other half will leave by tomorrow. Only we will stand with you. It is up to you whether you want to change your statement or not."
