Groom tied to a tree by bride's family in Uttar Pradesh |Know why

 A marriage ceremony in Uttar Pradesh's Pratapgarh turned sour on Tuesday, June 14 after an argument broke out between the families of the groom and bride during the 'jai mala' ceremony.

The cause of the quarrel was the groom - Amarjeet Verma -- who allegedly demanded dowry from the bride's family.

During the 'jai mala' ceremony, the friends of Amarjeet misbehaved, which led to a brawl between the families of the bride and groom. Fuelling the situation further, groom Amarjeet also made dowry demands from the family of the bride.
