Give Rs 100 per quintal to farmers to stop stubble burning: SC to Punjab, Haryana, UP govts

The Supreme Court has directed the govts of Punjab, Haryana and UP to give Rs 100 per quintal to farmers so that they don't burn stubble in their fields. The apex court ordered these states to provide financial assistance to farmers within seven days.
