The gender benders: Celebrating women in Indian Air Force

As we celebrate International Women's Day, we also celebrate the woman in Indian Air Force.

In February, India got its first woman pilot to fly a fighter jet. Flying Officer Avani Chaturvedi, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, is among the first batch of three women officers who were commissioned as fighter pilots in the IAF in June 2016.
