Full speech: Sonia invokes Indira Gandhi to inspire party in Congress plenary

UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi sought to boost Congress party's morale by recalling the post-emergency revival of the party sparked by late Indira Gandhi's victory at Chikmangalur.

In her speech, she took aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying voters had realised his 2014 campaign promises were "hollow." She accused his administration of enfeebling UPA-era policies.
