'Free speech no license of violence': Jaishankar calls out Canada's double standards

In a fresh attack on Canada, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar called out Canada’s double standards and said that free speech and expression cannot be a license to advocate violence and intimidation or to propagate separatism, extremism and worse.

Jaishankar said on Saturday that there is room for diplomacy to address the diplomatic row between India and Canada. The ties between India and Canada came under severe strain following Trudeau's allegations in September over the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June in the Canadian town of Surrey.
