Free speech can't be used for terror: India on Khalistani posters in Canada

Days after posters inciting violence against Indian diplomats surfaced in Canada and a few other countries, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that such activities are not at all acceptable and free speech can't be used for terror.

At a media briefing, Arindam Bagchi said, "No space be given to extremist, terrorist elements in the name of freedom of expression."

The Khalistani poster has sparked outrage across India by calling India’s High Commissioner to Ottawa, Sanjay Kumar Verma, and Consul General in Toronto, Apoorva Srivastava, as “killers” of the Khalistan Tiger Force chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
