Flood leaves mud, debris in government school building in Uttarakhand

Following the warning from the Meteorological Department, the relentless downpour of the past two days resulted in a sudden disaster on Saturday night at Government Inter College, Khadod, Chakrata. Heavy flooding breached the school's roof, leading to a substantial amount of mud and debris entering the building. The floodwaters caused extensive damage to several rooms within the college building. Fortunately, the incident occurred during the weekend when the school was closed from Saturday to Sunday, averting a major catastrophe. However, the school suffered significant losses as all the belongings and equipment inside the premises were destroyed due to the inundation.
