First images of Pahalgam attack terrorists killed in Operation Mahadev

India Today has accessed the first images of two of the three Pahalgam attack terrorists who were gunned down during a joint forces operation in Srinagar on Monday. They have been identified as Habib Tahir and Jibran, both Pakistani nationals.

Indian security forces have eliminated three terrorists — Gibran, Afghan, and Suleiman — responsible for the attack in Pahalgam that killed innocent civilians. In a successful counter-terrorist operation named 'Operation Mahadev', the forces neutralised the perpetrators. Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated on the floor of the house that these were the same terrorists who also carried out the attack at the Z-More Tunnel. The identification was confirmed through a meticulous investigation involving forensic analysis of weapons, intelligence from apprehended local guides, and the recovery of Pakistani voter identity cards for two of the three terrorists.
