Fear grips people living in border areas of J&K due to Pakistani shelling

Fear has gripped the people living in the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir due to Pakistani shelling. Some families in Uri have been moved from Line of Control and shifted to camps set up in Government Higher Secondary school.

Several houses were damaged and a civilian was injured in past week due to shelling.

Locals told India Today that they want the tensions to de-escalate and also protested against the government “for not providing” them permanent bunkers that could save lives in cross border firing or shelling.
