EC to hold crucial meet ahead of 2021 Bengal Election date announcement

The Election Commission will hold a crucial meet on Wednesday ahead of date announcement for upcoming Bengal election.

The EC is likely to announce the dates for the 2021 Bengal polls soon after the meet, sources said.

While the BJP is eyeing West Bengal assembly after impressive show in 2019 Lok Sabha election winning 18 out of 42 seats, the ruling Trinamool Congress, led by its chief Mamata Banerjee, would be fighting for its third term.
