EC comes down heavily on hate mongering MPs

The shooting at Jamia, three days after a Union Minister at a rally said: "Goli maaro saalo ko," has sent shockwaves across Delhi. Just hours before the incident, the Election Commission had banned the Union Minister, Anurag Thakur, from campaigning for 72 hours. The EC also barred BJP MP Parvesh Varma from campaigning for 96 hours. The crackdown by EC has however not had any significant on other leaders.
