In an exclusive interview with Rajdeep Sardesai, Consulting Editor of India Today Group, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu spoke about why Telugu Desam Party decided to walk out of the National Democratic Alliance.
Naidu skirted the question on whether TDP is positioning itself as a part of the anti-BJP front but said that he has come to Delhi from Amravati 29 times in last four years only to seek justice.
"I wanted to have some hand-holding, that is why I had an alliance with the BJP and I joined NDA," Naidu said. "In the last four years, they didn't fulfill (the assurances)," he said.
When asked if it was time for the Chief Ministers of different states to come together and form a federal front against the BJP or the Congress, Naidu said, "Definitely, TDP is responsible for cooperative federalism," keeping it open on forming a coalition with Mamata, KCR, Naveen Patnaik.
