Dilip Walse Patil may replace Anil Deshmukh as Maharashtra's home minister: Sources

The NCP leadership is thinking about Dilip Walse Patil as the next Maharashtra home minister, according to sources.

Dilip Patil is currently the labour and excise minister in the Maharashtra govt. Earlier, NCP chief Sharad Pawar has said that it is Uddhav Thackeray who has to decide on Anil Deshmukh's resignation.

Former Mumbai Police chief Param Bir Singh had alleged leveled that Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Dehsmukh wanted police officers to collect Rs 100 crore monthly from bars and hotels.
